Dry Weather Persists into the Weekend

Happy Thursday, Bowling Green! I hope everyone has had a good week so far and is ready for the weekend ahead. Dry weather and seasonably mild temperatures persist for the coming days, but big changes are in store early next week.

Quiet Today and Friday…

THANKSGIVING: After starting in the mid-40s this morning, temperatures will gradually rise throughout the day. By the time the Thanksgiving feast is being prepped, temperatures will have topped out around 57-degrees, while skies remain mostly cloudy throughout the majority of the day. On the bright side – things remain dry!

FRIDAY: After a dry, relatively mild day on Thanksgiving, black Friday will feature more of the same. Lows in the morning will have bottomed out slightly cooler, at a crisp upper 30-degree value early on, before climbing as high as the lower 60s across W.A.B.B.L.E.S. by Friday afternoon. Conditions remain dry, like the day prior, with only a few passing clouds throughout the daytime hours.

A Beautiful Saturday!

After a pleasant end to the week, we can expect (you guessed it), more of the same for your Saturday! Temperatures as we awaken Saturday morning should generally be somewhere in the upper 30s across south-central Kentucky, with mostly cloudy skies early on becoming partly cloudy in the afternoon. Temperatures climb gradually into the middle-50s for highs, whilst things remain dry across our region!

Sunday Gets Interesting…

HERE’S WHAT WE KNOW: A significant storm system will affect the Ohio Valley region late Sunday evening into early next week. A rain/snow mix will be possible as early as Sunday afternoon/evening with the *potential* for a changeover to snow showers during the daytime hours on Monday.

THE UNCERTAIN: Timing and accumulations remain quite uncertain at this time, as the event is still several days out. Just be aware that the chance does exist for the W.A.B.B.L.E.S. region has the *chance* to see its first flakes of the season early next week!

Because of this, we will refrain from posting raw model output for now 🙂

HOW SUNDAY LOOKS NOW: Temperatures to begin the back-half of the weekend will start off in the upper 40s across this part of the Commonwealth and drop throughout the day. Temperatures will be firmly in the 30s by the evening hours. Scattered rain/snow showers will be possible throughout the daytime hours on Sunday (with coverage generally around 50% or so).
