Warming Trend with Plenty of Sunshine

Good morning South-Central Kentucky! Welcome to yet another day reading the beloved blog. If you’ve had a rough morning so far, I think I might deliver some news that will turn your day around (hopefully). Temperatures will continue on the warming trend with plenty of sunshine in store for the remainder of this week.

High Pressure Builds In

While I mentioned that we would be on a warming trend, today will be a bit on the cooler side. Hey, we have to start somewhere, right?

In fact, we will barely if even crack 50 which is below average for this time of year. The average high is 59 degrees. Although it will cool, we will still mostly sunny conditions so those low 50s could feel a tad warmer.

The high will occur around 3-4pm according to the HRRR at 49 degrees. (Pivotal Weather)

Overnight, a high pressure builds in which will be the dominating factor for the remainder of the week. It will keep us sunny and allow for return flow from the southwest to move in and drive our temperatures up.

Just How Warm Will it Get?

Over the coming days, through Saturday, we will see mostly sunny conditions which each day increasing in temperature.

By Friday expect the high to be about 68, and by Saturday, I’m thinking we will have cracked 70 degrees. That’s 10 degrees above the average!

Hurricane World

Hurricane Iota made landfall last night on the Central Americas impacting a vulnerable region that was just hit by Hurricane Eta less than two weeks. Iota is the latest category 4 in the Atlantic on record. Experts are even calling it the most powerful hurricane this season with expected damage from winds and catastrophic rainfall.
