Happy Sunday, Bowling Green! I hope everyone is enjoying the weekend, and the cool temperatures that came along with it. The back-half of the weekend brings more of the same, as temperatures remain cool for today, and for the start of the workweek ahead.
Isolated Showers Possible Today
After awakening to another crisp, cool morning in the upper 40s, temperatures rebound only modestly to reach an afternoon high of around 60-degrees, while some areas may struggle to reach the upper 50s.
Skies overhead will be overcast predominantly throughout the entirety of the day, with the chance for a few showers (with areal coverage of around 20%).
Drier Monday
As the new workweek begins , temperatures start off in the lower 50s, similar to the prior morning. Peeks of sunshine will be possible throughout the daytime hours Monday, but clouds will still be plentiful overhead. Highs will top out in the lower 60s area-wide, with rain chances that are virtually non-existent.
Shower chances don’t return only late Monday evening, and persist into Tuesday morning as well.
Shower Chances Return Tuesday
After drier conditions during the day on Monday, the chance for a few passing showers will be possible yet again on Tuesday, but any rain that falls will be light in nature. Lows Tuesday morning will be around 50 or so, and highs by that afternoon will top out around 60-degrees.
Tracking the Tropics:
After a record-breaking hurricane season to date, things remain active in the Atlantic/Caribbean basin. TropicaL Storm Zets has formed in the western Caribbean and is forecast to strengthen and move northward into the Gulf by early next week. U.S. impacts are appearing increasingly likely later in the week, but it’s still too early to determine exactly where landfall will occur, and how strong the system will be.
That’ll wrap things up for your Sunday, I hope ya’ll have a fantastic day, and an even better week! Follow us on our social platforms: @wxornotBG.
