Dreary Start Becomes a Pleasant Week

Hello South-Central Kentucky! Welcome to this new Monday! I hope you had a great weekend, despite the dismal conditions yesterday. The rainy conditions look to stretch into today as a dreary start actually becomes a pleasant week.

Rain Again for Today

Right now, we have a stationary front running right over the Bowling Green area. This will keep the showers training over the area today, meaning many areas will stay consistently wet.

Good ole’ drenching rain looks to be the biggest factor today. Much of our coverage area will see around 0.1″ of rain, but areas to our north will see more. We can expect the showers to move in during the morning hours before some of us see a break during the late afternoon.

Winds could also get a little gusty today as those showers move through with speeds upward of 15 mph. Temperatures will remain on the cooler side in the low 70’s as well. Just a downright dreary day if you ask me!

Showers look to end overnight as lows drop to around 60°.

Clearer Weather Moves In

By the time Tuesday rolls around, that stationary front finally starts to lift away from our area and drier conditions look to take its place. Tuesday will start off cloudy, but as the day progresses those clouds will begin to thin out. Temperatures will also warm into the mid 70’s.

Wednesday will feature much sunnier skies as the clouds finally move out! With those sunny skies will be much warmer temperatures in the low 80’s. Did you think we would be seeing the 80’s again this late in the year? Well surprise!

That finishes today’s forecast. Thanks for reading! Follow our live weather feed @wxornotBG, as well as on Facebook, for all your weather updates. Stay dry today!
