Calm Weather Pattern Sets In and Persists

Good morning folks of South-Central Kentucky! Welcome to another day here at wxornotBG. To be frank, the weather around here lately has been pristine. Into the rest of this week, a calm weather pattern sets in and persists as temperatures become seasonal.

Expect Beautiful Conditions

Our job as meteorologists is quite simple this week as there are no systems or fronts moving into the region that could cause a disturbance. Instead, an area of high pressure is dominating the area which will keep the sunshine around for the rest of the week.

On top of this, temperatures will hang around in the mid 70s for most of the week putting a halt to wearing those sweaters for the time being.

Specifically for today, expect sunny skies with the high reaching 75. Overnight, the low will only dip to about 50 compared to 36 last night.

Wednesday will be a carbon copy of today except temperatures across WABBLES will likely reach the 80 degree mark! We definitely haven’t seen that in a hot second!

It seems that the last time we saw 80 was September 27th. (TimeandDate.com)

The remainder of the work week stays constant in the fact we will continue seeing sunshine and mild temperatures.

A Look at Tropical Weather

Currently, Hurricane Delta is brewing down off the coasts of Central America. As time progresses, it is expected to strengthen. As of now, it is forecast to track northwest and make a sharp turn to set its eyes on areas ranging from Gulf Shores to the Louisiana/Texas border.

We are closely monitoring this tropical system as it could potentially bring us a rain event come this weekend. Timing and impacts are still up in the air.

Well that does it for today! Have a great rest of the week and be sure to follow us on twitter, @wxornotBG, for live weather updates and more.
