Cooler, Drier Weather Arrives Today

Howdy folks! Welcome to Monday and a new week! I hope you had a relaxing weekend. It may have been a muggy and dreary one, but cooler, drier weather arrives today!

When it feels great outside, you want to spend all the time you can in it! (Tenor)

Strong High Pressure Takes Over

Now that the cold front has finally pushed by, a high pressure will look to take over instead. Because of it’s location on the Canadian border, it will help funnel cooler and drier air into the region.

It will also help keep any rain to our south, meaning today we’ll be seeing mostly sunny skies! Additionally, our temperatures will only reach the low 80’s. With comfortable dew points, it will make today a beautiful day to say the least!

Those clear skies will follow us into the overnight hours as temperatures drop into the cool upper 50’s. The sun looks to return on Tuesday with more clear skies and warm temperatures in the low 80’s.

TS Sally Could Bring Some Showers

Right now, Tropical Storm Sally is churning off the Gulf Coast and is expected to make landfall early this week. After that, it’s expected to remain to our south as it heads over land.

However, we could see a few rogue showers and storms Wednesday and especially Thursday, but again, the bulk of the storm is forecasted to stay to our south.

With that being said, temperatures look to cool off even more and are currently forecasted to fall into the mid 70’s by the weekend!

That finishes today’s forecast. Thanks for reading! Follow our live weather feed @wxornotBG, as well as on Facebook, for all your weather updates. Enjoy this beautiful Monday!
