Stationary Boundary Keeps Things Repetitive

Good Monday morning, y’all! Welcome to a new week and a new WxornotBG post! I hope the rain didn’t put too much of a damper on your weekend, because we look to stay wet. A stationary boundary keeps things repetitive this week.

Another Day of Scattered Showers

Can you believe it’s already the last day of August? It’s really flying by. August looks to end on a wetter note today as a slow moving low pressure continues to funnel moisture into our area.

A low positioned right over Kentucky will be slow moving today, keeping the showers around. (WPC)

These showers don’t look to be like any sort of deluge, but their scattered nature will hit some people and miss others, much like what we saw yesterday.

This pattern will not only keep the showers around, but will also keep dew points muggy this week. Even with values in the mid 70’s, today high temperature won’t be as oppressive in the mid 80’s.

Things look to dry out as we head into the overnight hours as temperatures cool into the low 70’s.

More Dreary Weather This Week

Be prepared to not see the sun much this week! This stationary boundary will be slow to leave. Until then, clouds will dominate the sky.

Tuesday, however, looks to be a little drier. We get a break from the rain, but we won’t shake the clouds and will be mostly cloudy for most of the day. Highs will also stagnate in the mid 80’s.

Shower and storm chances return on Wednesday, so don’t put that umbrella away yet! Temperatures also return to the mid 80’s for highs. Didn’t I tell you this week’s weather would be repetitive?

Drier Weather to End the Week

If just by reading this you’re already tired of rain, I have some good news! Right now, things are looking to dry out later this week and more sunshine will be in the forecast. Thank goodness!

That finishes today’s forecast. Thanks for reading! Follow our live weather feed @wxornotBG, as well as on Facebook, for all your weather updates. Have a great Monday!
