Typical Summer Weather Returns

Welcome to the weekend, everyone! We made it through another week. At least it was a beautiful one! Let’s not forget, it’s still August, so our typical summer weather returns as we go through the weekend.

Sultry Saturday

As we kick off the weekend, it will definitely feel like August again. Average highs for early August is around 90°, and that’s about where we’ll sit today for our high temperatures.

On the plus side, dew points won’t be terribly uncomfortable, but it will definitely be hot. Those toasty temperatures will be accompanied by sunny skies today, since we’re still under the influence of a Canadian high.

Temperatures cool drastically overnight into the mid 60’s under clear skies, so that will definitely offer some relief from the daytime heat.

Getting Hotter…

As we look into Sunday, the thermometer is looking like it’ll pass the 90° mark and end up in the low 90’s for the high. Unfortunately, because it is still summer, dew points will be on the rise as well.

We also look to stay dry as the sunny weather sticks around a little longer. Like I said, typical summer weather! We do, however, get a chance for some rain come Monday as a warm front approaches from the south.

Monday’s warm front will help bring some showers to the WABBLES area, especially in the afternoon. (WPC)

This warm front will help the muggy dew points fire off some afternoon thunderstorms. Highs Monday also look to reach the mid 90’s, so make sure to take precaution if you plan on being outside for an extended period of time!
