Summery Conditions for Today

After a cooler day yesterday, we’ll warm up a little bit today as we start out under mostly sunny skies. Highs will reach the mid 80’s, but dew points will stay cool and comfortable in the mid 60’s.

As we get into the afternoon hours, a passing cold front will trigger some hit-or-miss thunderstorms to develop around the region. Some could contain heavy rain, but nothing severe.

We’ll dry out as we head into the overnight hours, and temperatures will cool into the mid 60’s.

Temps Drop and Skies Dry

After the passage of the cold front on Monday, temperatures will drop once again and return to an unseasonable state.

Tuesday’s temperatures will only climb to about 80°, and with comfortable dew points, will make for a pleasant day temperature-wise. However, there is a slight chance for some showers, especially in the afternoon.

Cooler and sunnier conditions are in the forecast for Wednesday thanks to a high pressure! (WPC)

Things start to dry out on Wednesday as a high pressure begins to take over and funnel more cooler air into the South Central Kentucky area. We can expect a beautiful day with highs around 80° under mostly sunny skies. Can’t beat that!

Temperatures Rise Again

As we look towards the weekend, the mercury will start an upward trend and begin to get closer to more average temperatures for early August. We also look to stay dry and sunny, which is a plus. More beautiful weather ahead!
