Happy Friday, Kentucky! I hope you have had a great week so far despite the heat. The first half of the week was not to bad out there, but we have seen the temperatures crank up over the last few days. We do not see much relief in sight as the oppressive heat and humidity continues.
Today
We had showers and storms develop along a boundary yesterday afternoon and since then that boundary has stalled. We will see a few more storms pop-up along the stalled front this afternoon. The severe weather threat is low to nonexistent today.

Hot Weekend Instore
Heading into the weekend we will see the rain chances back off a bit. The heat and humidity on the other hand are staying right here. Saturday looks like another hot one with highs reaching the mid-90s and the heat index approaching the century mark.
Sunday we see almost a carbon copy of Saturday. Winds will be calm most of the weekend so we are not expecting a breeze to make this feel somewhat better. Scattered storms will be possible but chances stay at or under 40%.
All jokes aside, the heat this weekend will be a risk to those who do not take proper precautions if spending time outdoors. Here are a few heat safety tips to keep you safe while under the sun.
