Pleasant Temperatures Become Hot This Week

Good morning, everyone! Back at Monday again. I hope you enjoyed that very pleasant weekend! Cooler temperatures and low dew points made for very enjoyable weather, and that trend looks to continue. However, pleasant temperatures become hot this week.

We all know the feeling…(Giphy)

Ideal Summer Day Today

Not going to lie, this weekend I almost forgot it was early July! It sure didn’t feel like it. More of those comfortable conditions look to return for the start of the week thanks to a high pressure.

Since this high pressure will keep the humid Gulf air to our south, today our high temperatures will sit below average in the mid 80’s. Even better, dew points will also remain cooler in the upper 60’s, so you won’t feel like you’re wearing the air as soon as you step outside!

These, in combination with clear, sunny skies, will make for a beautiful July day! Make sure to take advantage of it! Clear conditions will continue into the overnight hours as temperatures drop into the mid 60’s.

The Mercury Begins to Rise

As we move through the week, a ridge will begin to build over the central and southern US that will make the mercury rise over the next few days.

Looking at Tuesday, high temperatures look to reach the upper 80’s, which isn’t bad. Dew points are forecasted to stay cooler too, so Tuesday will be another beautiful summer day. Additionally, expect more clear skies!

Wednesday is when it really starts to feel like summer again. As the high pressure still dominates our weather, another day of sunny skies will drive temperatures up into the mid 90’s!

Dangerous Heat Possible

The end of this week and into the weekend is when temperatures are really expected to be hot. Right now, temperatures are forecasted to reach the mid 90’s, which can be dangerous. Make sure to start preparing now if you plan to be out!

Loose clothing, plenty of water, and shade/AC will be your best friends. But until then, enjoy some of the more comfortable temperatures now!

That finishes today’s forecast. Thanks for reading! Follow our live weather feed @wxornotBG, as well as on Facebook, for all your weather updates. Have a great start to your week!
