On-and-Off Showers this Father’s Day

Good morning, everyone, and Happy Father’s Day! Let’s all take time today to appreciate the father figures in our lives. Today, conditions will be rather gloomy, but don’t let this get in the way of spending time with those you love.

What To Expect Today

We’re sorry to be the one to tell you this, but today is not the day to grill out with the family. Not only will that hot and humid trend carry on into today, but we will also see clear skies become cloudy as shower chances become more prominent. These showers will start before noon and stick around for most of the day.

Just before noon, the showers will begin, according to the HRRR model (Pivotal Weather)

We can’t rule out the chance of the production of isolated storms for the region. So far, the threat of severity is not high, but don’t be shocked if there’s a brief heavy downpour or a crackle of thunder outside. We can expect for the most active weather to come about in the later hours of the afternoon and early hours of the evening.

If this changes, we will be sure to notify the public through our social media outlets. Stay notified by following us on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.

Be Cautious of Precipitation Totals

We will have our fair share of precipitation throughout the day, thanks to the constant showers that are to be expected. Depending on where you live in the WABBLES region, rainfall amounts have the potential to range from a quarter of an inch to an inch.

If you plan on driving at all, be careful and aware of any flash flooding watches or warnings issued by the National Weather Service.

Other than that, temperatures will reach the mid-80’s and lower into the later hours of the day to the upper 60’s. We will have a break from showers in the early hours of day tomorrow. However, the chances for showers continue on into the following few weekdays.

That’s all for today! Thank you for reading! We all hope you have a wonderful holiday. For more, follow us at @wxornotBG on social media.
