Warming Temperatures come with Small Storm Chances

Good morning, Kentucky! It is another great start to the morning with temperatures starting out in the low 60s. Conditions have been rather pleasant the last few days, but that looks to change as warming temperatures come with small storm chances.

Slight T-Storm Chance Today

The last few days have featured an upper level low along the east coast bringing our area much cooler temperatures. We have stayed dry for the most part from this system despite some cloud cover. This low is going to slowly back peddle to the west a bit and will bring us a small chance for storms this afternoon.

Future radar above does show the chance today for a few scattered showers and storms this afternoon. Otherwise, it will be mostly sunny today with temperatures topping out near 85 degrees. We drop down to 65 degrees tonight with mostly clear skies.

Hot and Humid Friday

Friday we really start to feel the heat and humidity as temperatures find their way into the upper 80s. Dewpoints will start approaching the mid 60s tomorrow so it will become much more uncomfortable outside.

Isolated pop-up storms will be possible Friday as the low pressure from the east will be slow to move. Temperatures Friday night will get down to the mid 60s with mostly clear skies.

Early look at the Weekend

Temperatures crank up as we head into the weekend. Moisture will be streaming in from the south making it feel very muggy. We will have daily chances this weekend for a pop-up storm, otherwise mostly sunny and hot!

The heat looks to continue as we head into next week. Right now, we don’t have any great rain chances in the near future. Consider yourself lucky if you do get an appearance from a pop-up storm. Dry conditions will be the more likely scenario into early next week.
