High Pressure Takes Over as Temperatures Rise

Hello Sunday! Welcome to WxornotBG, everyone. Hope your weekend was great! It was definitely a beautiful one with sunny skies and low humidity. Sunny skies look to continue when a high pressure takes over as temperatures rise.

Beautiful End to the Weekend

If you’ve been enjoying this recent weather, then you’re in luck. Another cooler day is in store for today with highs only reaching about 80°, which is a little below average.

An exiting cold front will bring a few clouds into the area during the day, and some places could even see a shower or thunderstorm this afternoon. Otherwise, we’ll see some peaks of sunshine throughout the day.

Dew points will also remain low and comfortable, meaning it’ll be another great day to be outside! Clouds will diminish as we head into the overnight hours, and lows will cool into the mid 50’s.

The Mercury Rises This Week

Low 80’s for mid-June is almost too good to be true. We’ve been lucky to get a few days! As we start the new week, Monday will kick off a warming trend for the rest of the week.

Highs for tomorrow will only warm into the low 80’s, so not too bad! Any clouds from Sunday will also have moved out for the most part, leaving mostly sunny skies for our Monday.

Much of the same conditions are in store for Tuesday as the high pressure system creeps closer to the WABBLES area. We’ll see plenty of sunshine, but temperatures will get a little more toasty in the mid 80’s.

Summer-like Conditions Arrive

Looking into the mid-week timeframe, a dominant high pressure will keep South-Central Kentucky dry for the foreseeable future. More importantly, our daytime highs continue the upward trend, bringing some hot weather our way.

That finishes today’s forecast. Thanks for reading! Follow our live weather feed @wxornotBG, as well as on Facebook, for all your weather updates. Enjoy your Sunday!
