The Last of Cristobal for WABBLES

Top of the morning to you! Welcome back to wxornotBG. Today is the last day that we will have to deal with the remnants of Cristobal. That means a chance of storms for today, but don’t worry, because fair weather is to come in the following days.

Chance of Storms Around Noon

Now a post-tropical cyclone, Cristobal makes its way further north in our country, gradually losing its intensity. However, the eastern region of the country continues to deal with the remnants of it, as shown on the Storm Prediction Center’s convective outlook for today.

We are under a marginal risk for severe weather today (Storm Prediction Center)

Today, we once again have a chance of storms around noon as a cold front moves towards the east coast. These isolated storms have the potential to be severe with strong winds and hail being a possible outcome. There is a low-end threat for a tornado, but we will keep you updated if the risk increases.

Fair, dry weather will come once the cold front passes. Say hello to sunny skies with temperatures reaching the upper 80’s. That familiar unbearable humidity will subside after today, so hang in there! Tonight, clouds will make a comeback, lowering temperatures to the lower 60’s.

Gusty Winds Throughout the Day

Additionally, a threat of gusty winds accompanies the chance of storms for today. There’s a possibility for gusts to reach up to 40 miles per hour this afternoon. These will calm throughout the day, but it will be a rather breezy day overall.
