Good morning, everyone! Welcome to Thursday. It seems like for most of May it’s been cool and dreary. However, we’ll get a break from the showers today, along with some very warm temperatures. In fact, we’ll be staying warm for the foreseeable future.
Beautiful Conditions Today
Today is the day everyone has been waiting for! The showers moved out of the area yesterday evening and will leave us with plentiful sunshine today.
Today will also be the first day of our warm, above-average streak. Highs today look to reach the low 80’s, but winds could get a little breezy around 15 mph. Some gusts could be higher.
Some clouds look to creep in overnight as lows drop to around 60°. Otherwise, WABBLES will stay calm for Thursday into Friday.
Showers Make Their Reappearance
Well, it was nice while it lasted. The clouds continue to file into the area ahead of our next system on Friday. Some showers are expected during the morning hours, with a chance of a thunderstorm during the afternoon.
However, we could get a few breaks of sunshine between the rounds of rain. Highs are expected to stay warm, though, in the low 80’s. We can expect similar conditions as we head into Saturday as well.
The low pressure system is slow to leave, which means we’ll have another day of showers on Saturday. On the plus side, it won’t be any colder, so at least the 80° highs are nice.
Drying Out for the New Week
Chances for showers will stick around for one more day on Sunday, but by the time the new work week rolls around, we’ll begin to dry out. Our temperatures are looking to stay near or just above normal (about 77°), too.
That finishes today’s forecast. Thanks for reading! Follow our live weather feed @wxornotBG, as well as on Facebook, for all your weather updates. Enjoy the sunshine and warm temperatures!
