Gradual Warming This Week

Good morning WABBLES and happy Monday! Who is ready to start and endure another week with me? I’m sure a lot of you are working and hunkered down at home. That doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy the weather outdoors as the forecast is calling for a pleasant and cool start to the week. A gradual warming trend in temperatures will be on the horizon during the second half of the week.

Cool Monday & Tuesday

Waking up this morning, you can expect pleasant conditions with clear skies. Temperatures to start the will day bottom out in the upper 30s.

Temperatures throughout the day moderately rebound as high pressure begin to settle in from the west. Clockwise flow around the area of high pressure will usher in a cool breeze out of the northwest which will keep high temperatures right around the 60-degree mark.

Clouds will be on the increase as we transition into Tuesday as a week disturbance advects into the Ohio Valley, temperatures will not change, sticking right around the 60-degree mark. Rain chances look slim during the afternoon and evening hours on Tuesday, but you can rule out a few raindrops.

Warming Trend?

Temperatures will be on the increase and return back to normal as we finish the second half of the workweek. The Climate Prediction Center’s (CPC) 6-10 Day Temperature Outlook shows much of Kentucky with a 50-60% chance of experiencing above-average temperatures between this Friday and next Tuesday
