Good morning to all, and welcome to Thursday! Can you believe it’s the last day of April already? You know what they say, April showers bring May flowers. We had the April showers, now we’ll get the May flowers with sunshine and warm temperatures coming up!
One More Day of Showers
We will close out April with one more round of showers that are expected to come through during the evening hours. It won’t be anything too heavy, just some leftover scattered showers from a low passing to our north. It could also get a little windy, with gusts possible around 20 mph.
We will also see another cooler day today with highs only reaching the low 60’s. While it’s not raining, we’ll sit under mostly cloudy skies for most of the day.
Clearing will take place, however, overnight as lows dip into the mid 40’s and a high pressure takes over.
Sunshine Welcomes May
A new month calls for a fresh start! Sunshine returns on Friday to kick off May, and what a great way to do so. With the return of the rays, our temperatures will start to rise as well. Highs on Friday look to hang in the upper 60’s. Not bad!
The average temperature for the start of May is around 74°. While we’re still little below average on Friday, that will change as we head into the weekend.
Major Warming Trend This Weekend
High pressure continues to dominate on Saturday, keeping the sunshine around for the day. With winds out of the south, temperatures bounce to near the average mark with highs all the way in the upper 70’s! Definitely a great day to get outside.
It gets even better on Sunday as highs reach the low 80’s under more sunny skies. Definitely a great start to May! Showers have the potential to return, though, come Sunday night.
