Rain Returns Tonight

Good morning, Kentucky, and welcome back to wxornotBG! Rain returns tonight but we have beautiful temperatures in store for today. I’ve got all the details in the post below!

Warm Temps Today

We’ve woken up to light scattered showers across WABBLES this morning. Scattered rain chances should clear up by lunch time and make for a very enjoyable afternoon. Sustained southwest winds of 10-15 mph and gusts around 25 mph will help raise our high temperature to the mid-70s. As today draws to a close, the chance for rain will increase.

If you’re someone who likes sleeping during overnight showers, tonight is your kind of night! Rain chances greatly increase near midnight and should continue through the overnight hours and into tomorrow. There is a severe threat associated with this storm system far out to our west but thankfully it loses a lot of its strength before it reaches WABBLES. We’ll keep our eye on it though as the severe threat is non-zero.

Rainy & Windy Wednesday

Tuesday’s overnight showers should continue well into Wednesday with the passing of a cold front from the west. Rain chances stick around but start to decrease during the afternoon hours and drop off near the end of the day. The high temperature should still reach into the upper-60s, which makes all the rain a little more bearable.

By the end of tomorrow, areas could have accumulated rainfall totals between 0.5-1″. Also be mindful of the wind tomorrow. Sustained winds will be 10-15 mph with gusts near 25 mph like today.

Slightly Cooler Thursday

Things look to cool off a few degrees as WABBLES settles in behind Wednesday’s cold front. The high temperature should reach the low-60s with fairly gusty winds coming in from the northwest. Rain chances stick around through Thursday afternoon but don’t look to add much in terms of existing accumulations.

That concludes today’s post! Remember to follow @wxornotBG on Twitter to stay updated on this week’s rain chances. Have a great Tuesday and stay healthy!
