Good morning to all! Glad you’re here on this Thursday. It’s definitely been cool recently, but we’re back on the warming trend. That’s the good news, but the bad news is that wet weather is set to return.
Dry and Warming Up Today
Even though the air temperature is cool, it definitely feels warmer in the sun. The sun will be out in full swing again today which will help warm our highs up to around 60°, which is still about 10° below average for mid April.
It will be a beautiful day, so get out and enjoy it! Just make sure you’re social distancing responsibly. Temperatures will cool down into the low 40’s overnight, so no risk for frost like we’ve seen the past few nights.
Dry Friday, Wet Friday Night
Another storm system and accompanying cold front will approach the WABBLES area during the day Friday, which will bring in some clouds as we head through the day. However, we stay dry for the daylight hours.
It could also get a little windy as that low pressure heads our way. Winds up to 15 mph are possible, but some gusts could be higher.
Temperatures will climb closer to average though, with highs in the upper 60’s. By the time nighttime rolls around, we can expect the cold front to arrive. Some showers are the most we’ll see from it, so nothing to be too concerned about.
Brief Dry Period on Saturday
Just as quickly as the rain moved in, it will move out just as fast. By the time Saturday rolls around, the sun will be out once again. Temperatures will stick around in the low 60’s for highs as well. Not too shabby!
Sunday, however, brings our second round of rain for the weekend. It’s still a little far out to make any definite statements on timing, but the chance is there and we’ll be watching it for you.
That finishes today’s forecast. Thanks for reading! Follow our live weather feed @wxornotBG, as well as on Facebook, for all your weather updates. Enjoy the sunny weather!
