Good morning, WABBLES! Glad you could stop by today. Yesterday sure did turn out to be a nice day, didn’t it? It was much needed. We can expect more sunshine today (and even the warmest temperatures so far this year) as drier weather is on the way.
Picture-Perfect Day Today
If you enjoyed yesterday afternoon’s weather, then you’re going to love todays. We’re expecting to have sunshine all day today! We finally get a break from the clouds as the jet stream shifts northward, which will keep any wet weather to our north, giving us a break.
Additionally, this upper-air pattern is conducive for bringing warmer air into the southern US. Winds from the south today could be breezy at times (around 15 mph), but they will help our temperatures rise into the upper 70’s for today’s high.
Long story short, it’s going to be a beautiful day.
Warm Temperatures Continue Through the Weekend
As we head into Friday, we can expect those warm temperatures to stick around. However, the clouds will filter back in as another storm system approaches from the west. We will stay dry, though, which is a plus.
Highs on Friday could climb as high as 80° with help from winds from the southwest. Despite the clouds, it will still be a nice day to get some fresh air if you’ve been practicing social distancing.
Saturday will look similar as warm temperatures and clouds hang around. Highs Saturday will reach the upper 70’s again, and we’ll stay dry for most of the day before showers return Saturday night.
But don’t worry, the rain is expected to move out by Sunday and we’ll have a dry and beautiful start to next week.
That finishes today’s forecast. Thanks for reading! Follow our live weather feed @wxornotBG, as well as on Facebook, for all your weather updates. Get out and enjoy the sunshine today (while practicing social distancing)!
