We’ve had our fair share of clouds and showers so far this week, so it’s only fitting that we end the week like that too. There is good news ahead, though, because the weekend starts soggy but ends sunny.
Some Friday Showers
The clouds from Thursday will bring us precipitation as we go through the morning hours as a weak disturbance pivots through the area.
Not expecting heavy rain or anything with this, but off-and-on showers will be with us through the early afternoon hours.
Clouds and rainfall should keep us from getting too warm this afternoon, with highs ending up around 50º or so. Showers will taper off overnight tonight but the clouds will hang tough, as we only fall to about 35º.
Another Overcast Saturday
Between Friday’s system exiting the area in the early morning hours and another weather system coming close to the area, we’ll once again spend our Saturday with some clouds.
As for the system itself, it looks to be a bit too far away to impact us with anything but those clouds. However, they will be starting to break up a tad by the afternoon, but still highs end up right near 50º or so again.

Lows, however end up near 33º or so thanks to increasingly clear skies.
Super Sunshine for Super Sunday
Sunshine will finally return as we start to close out our weekend. And while it won’t be like last year, it will still be a mild one for the Professional Football Championship Game That is Super and Being Played In A Venue Shaped Like A Bowl.
As for us, sunshine will lead to a nice warming trend for your Sunday afternoon, along with southerly breezes of course. This should push highs not far from 60º…and I wouldn’t be surprised to see some spots exceed 60º.
It wouldn’t be a bad day to open the windows for a little fresh air or maybe take an afternoon stroll. Enjoy it Sunday, because more wet weather looks to move in for the new week. Sunday night lows finish up around 45º.
Soggy for the New Week
Enjoy the mild weather and sunshine while they last because more rain chances look to move into the region late in the day on Monday and temperatures tumble on the backside of a cold front around midweek…with more scattered rain chances as well. Bah…humbug!
That just about does it for me! Follow our live weather feed @wxornotbg for the latest updates on your milder weekend. Have a terrific Friday!
