Good Sunday morning! Welcome to a new week. After the wild morning we had yesterday, things look to calm down a bit for a few days. The wind and rain looks to move out, but the mild temps and clouds stick around.
Slight Cool Off
We’ve had some very warm temperatures recently, so warm that we broke a daily high record yesterday! We reached 72° here in Bowling Green, beating the old record of 70° set back in 2013. Now that the front has passed by, we will cool off slightly.
High temperatures today will end up around 50° under mostly cloudy skies. Winds thankfully die down as well, to only around 5 mph. Despite the clouds, we will stay dry today. Quite the change from yesterday!
Warming Up…Again
If you thought that the cooler weather would stick around for a while, that’s not quite the case. Temperatures rebound after the cool day Sunday back into the upper 50’s on Monday.
Monday also looks to stay dry, but cloudy, as a high pressure that followed the passing cold front begins to move out of the region. Our next, and slight, chance for some wet weather comes Monday night as a stationary front sets up to our southeast. But don’t worry, it won’t be anything heavy.
Any rain that falls Monday night could linger into Tuesday morning as well. Otherwise, not much changes as mild temps and clouds stick around. The high on Tuesday will climb into the mid-60’s under mostly cloudy conditions after the showers end.
Cooler Weather to End the Week
The same stationary front will shift further upward on Wednesday and sit for about a day before we get some moving fronts again. These moving cold fronts will help us cool off a little as we get closer to the weekend. However, cold fronts also mean a chance for some wet weather, so showers look to stick around as well.
That finishes today’s forecast. Thanks for reading! Follow our live weather feed @wxornotBG, as well as on Facebook, for all your weather updates. Have a relaxing Sunday!
