Clouds Increase as Changes Approach

Good morning, everyone! I hope you had a wonderful Christmas. We came close to beating records yesterday, but didn’t quite get warm enough. Similar weather is expected through the weekend, but clouds increase as changes approach.

Mood for the rest of the week! (Giphy)

Sun Says Goodbye

After enjoying the sunshine for a few days, it will gradually go away today. Southerly winds and an approaching frontal system will help start to funnel in some clouds today. Rain chances are low, however, so we’ll sit under mostly cloudy skies.

Those southerly winds will also help our temperatures to remain unseasonably warm. Highs look to end up in the mid-60’s, but there’s no threat of breaking records today. Lows tonight will cool into the low 50’s.

Quiet Weather Continues

The final weekend of 2019 looks to be a quiet one. Cloudy, but quiet. With the low pressure system still off to our west, southerly winds will influence our weather the most.

Highs for Friday will be in the low 60’s under cloudy skies. A weak cold front will move through, but the most we’ll get will be a few scattered sprinkles.

Saturday doesn’t look much different as the clouds stick around. Winds pick up, however, at around 10 mph. This will help raise temperatures back into the mid-60’s. Saturday remains dry, but wet weather approaches Saturday night.

Rain and Cooler Temps Close Out 2019

A strong cold front finally reaches WABBLES early Sunday morning and brings significant rain chances with it. Preliminary estimates are predicting about an inch of rain from this system.

Much cooler air will follow behind the cold front and drop our temperatures closer to average. Highs right now are looking to end up in the upper 40’s. Quite the difference from what we’ve been seeing!

That finishes today’s forecast. Thanks for reading! Follow our live weather feed @wxornotBG, as well as on Facebook, for all your weather updates. Have a great rest of the week!
