Warmer Throughout the Week

Good morning, Kentucky! Happy Tuesday and welcome back to wxornotBG. Other than the chance of a sprinkle this morning, we’ve got some dry days ahead and temperatures will gradually get warmer throughout the week. I’ve got all the details below!

Possibly a Sprinkle This Morning

Be careful on your way out and give yourself some extra time to get to your destination as visibility is very low. Flurries could be mixed in with that sprinkle this morning, but the majority of it is to our northwest and we are just a few degrees above freezing.

Be mindful of any precipitation this morning due to our cold temperatures in the low-30s. (COD)

Thanks to the cold front that passed through the last night, we will only reach the upper-30s. Bundle up because it will be cold and windy today!

Sunnier Skies Tomorrow

A well deserved break from precipitation will start tomorrow. Expect mostly sunny skies with a high in the chilly upper-30s. Don’t let the sun fool you… it will still be very cold. The low temperature will drop to the low-20s overnight before even better conditions on Thursday.

Quieter conditions settle in for the Bluegrass over the next several days. (WPC)

Slight Warm Up Thursday

Our high temperature may increase by 10°F from Wednesday to Thursday. High temperatures in the upper-40s under sunny skies will make for a fairly pleasant Friday eve considering how cold and rainy it has been. Overnight lows will drop back down to the upper-20s.

Continue to Warm into the Weekend

Temperatures will continue to gradually increase into the weekend. We may even reach the low-50s on Friday and Saturday! Clouds will be increased but these warmer temperatures will feel pretty nice this late in the season.

That concludes today’s post! Remember to follow @wxornotBG on Twitter for all of your local weather needs. Have a great Tuesday!

Weather 12/17/

Clouds, drizzle & wet snow flakes early make way to decreasing clouds this afternoon; it's going to be windy and cold, folks!
