November in Review

The month of November turned out to be a colder, wetter, and snowier month than normal for Bowling Green. We ended up breaking 8 records!

November weather in review.

Plentiful Sunshine

Even though we have been dry, clouds have struggled to exit the region to start the week. Luckily, those pesky clouds moved out last night, making way for beautiful sunshine today.

Sunny skies for our Wednesday (Pivotal Weather)

That sunshine will also help us reach our seasonal temperatures for the back half of this week. Yesterday’s high was only 45ºF, which was 7º below normal! We’ll be warmer today, with an afternoon high of 54ºF. Winds will be out of the west at 5-10 mph.

Increasing Clouds

We will still have some sunshine to enjoy on Thursday, but clouds will be on the increase. An approaching cold front will be bringing cloud cover to WABBLES.

Thursday Weather Outlook (WPC)

We should stay dry throughout the day, however. Temperatures top out around 55ºF, with winds out of the southwest at 5 mph.

We will have cloudy skies by the nighttime hours. Winds will be calm as temperatures drop to a chilly 39ºF. Rain chances increase just after midnight and into Friday morning.

Cold Front Moves In

Our best chance of rain will come early Friday morning. You may need the umbrella if heading out for the day. Models are in some agreement that we could see showers around 6am. This could vary by a few hours, like 5-7am.

Here is the comparison between the European, Canadian, GFS, and NAM model at 6 am on Friday.

Model comparisons (Pivotal Weather)

They are all similar that they are thinking that rain showers will be in the area at 6 am on Friday. Those showers will move out during the morning hours. Winds will be out of the southwest at 5-10 mph.

We will reach our high temperature of 52ºF around noon. The cold front will also be making its way into the region by lunchtime. The passing of the front will switch winds to be out of the northwest and begin cooling down the temperatures.

Just a bit chilly (Giphy)

Skies will also become partly sunny during the afternoon hours. By the nighttime hours, temperatures will fall quite a bit. Expect low temperatures to be around 27ºF.
