Cold Turkey Followed by Rain Chances

Happy Thanksgiving, fellow WABBLERS! A clear sky overnight has allowed for radiational cooling, bringing a crisp, cool feel to the air early this morning, with readings right around freezing.

COLD THANKSGIVING

Clouds will be on a steady increase throughout this Thanksgiving Day, with a light, northeast breeze joining the party as well.

This will hold high temperatures between the low and mid 40s this afternoon.

MEH BLACK FRIDAY

Clouds should stick around tonight into Black Friday, with hit & miss light rain chances also in the forecast.

If you’re headed out to climb in the octagon take part in Black Friday shopping festivities tonight or tomorrow, keep the rain gear with you, just in case.

Temperatures will fall to the mid 30s by sunrise, and should top out around the 50˚ mark Friday afternoon.

WET START TO THE WEEKEND

It’s never fun being the messenger of bad news, but it is what it is…

A powerful low pressure system will be located to our northwest, with an associated cold front set to plow through late Saturday night.

Ahead of this front, abundant moisture and other ingredients will come together, bringing likely shower and storm chances into the forecast. It’ll also be very windy.

Rainfall forecast through Sunday morning via Pivotal Weather

Although rain chances will be with us throughout our Saturday, the heaviest rain should fall during the afternoon & evening. The current rainfall forecast calls for ~1-1.5″ for most of us.

NICE SUNDAY, THEN COLD

A transition day to end the weekend, conditions will be quite nice. Sunshine and highs in the mid 50s will make for tolerable conditions in the outdoors.

That pesky low pressure system will then dive southeast from the Great Lakes to the Northeast, pulling much colder temperatures down to start the new work week (why do I have to even mention that? *sigh*). Not to mention, the possibility of a few snow flakes.

Everyone have a terrific, safe Thanksgiving! We’re extremely thankful for supporters like you making this community weather entity a success!
