Beautiful Conditions Through the Weekend

Good morning, everyone! Glad you could stop by this morning. Thanks to a high pressure moving into the region, we can expect some beautiful conditions as we move through the weekend.

The weekend is almost here! (Giphy)

Cool, Clear Thursday

As we move through the day today, a high pressure currently sitting over the Ozarks will slowly transition into our area. This will bring clear, sunny skies along with it. Light winds from the north will also fuel some cooler temperatures. Highs today will sit at about 60 degrees, which is actually about 10 degrees below average.

Temperatures will cool to a chilly 40 degrees as we move into the overnight hours under starry skies.

Picturesque Homecoming Weekend

This high pressure moved in just in time for all the Homecoming festivities. Plus, even if you aren’t going, it will still be a beautiful fall weekend. Temperatures Friday will top out in the upper 60’s, but could feel a little warmer under a clear, sunny sky.

Lows Friday night will drop into the low 40’s before warming back up into more average temperatures. Highs Saturday will warm to about 70 degrees just in time for kickoff. There is a small possibility for a brief shower Saturday afternoon, but chances remain low. Otherwise, we can expect to see mostly sunny skies for most of the day.

Warmth and Rain Return

As the high pressure begins to move out, we will see a brief warm up as we head into a new week. Highs Sunday and Monday look to be in the mid to upper 70’s range. After that, a cold front will approach us from the west and bring higher chances for rain on Monday before the front itself passes on Tuesday.

We will watch what this front does as we get closer to Monday. But until then, enjoy some beautiful fall weather.

That finishes today’s forecast. Thanks for reading! Follow our live weather feed @wxornotBG, as well as on Facebook, for all your weather updates. Enjoy this beautiful weather!
