Overview

The main focus starting off the workweek will be shower chances as a cold front moves southeastward across the region this morning.

As the approaching cold front moves into the area, it will weaken quite a bit, minimizing the chance of rain across the WABBLES region. That being said, the chance of a shower or two will still be in place, but nothing heavy at all. I recommend having the umbrella with you just in case you are caught outside. Greatest chances of rain will be in between 9-11 AM.

With the lack of moisture out ahead of the approaching cold front, model guidance and data are showing very light rainfall totals across the area. I know we would all love some decent rainfall around the area especially for how dry it has been the past month, even if the rain is light, we will take it.

We are fast approaching harvest season for our area farmers, any rain at this point will help. As a fellow farmer back home in Minnesota, I know the dry conditions can be hard, stay strong!!kansas harvest GIF

After the cold front passes through the area, it will bring in much milder air. Temperatures for the first half of the week will be closer to the average for this time of year and overnight lows will drop back into the middle 50s! Middle 50s sound amazing, might need to break out a sweatshirt or light coat heading out the door Tuesday and Wednesday mornings!
