Hot Pattern Continues for the Start of the Week

Good morning and happy Monday, Folks! On this Memorial Day, I would like to first thank all the men and women who are currently serving in our military and also, to those who served in the past. THANK YOU!!!!

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE!!

The hot pattern continues as we start a new week!

The Heat is on

Showers and thunderstorms that we experienced yesterday have moved well clear of the area, leading to mostly clear skies last night. Areas of fog will continue to develop during the morning hours throughout the area, especially in the low-lying areas. Make sure to turn on your headlights and stay aware if you plan on hitting the roads right around sunrise.

Areas of fog will lift out of the region by the mid-morning hours, giving way to mostly sunny skies. Temperatures will rise, once again, back into the lower 90s during the afternoon hours. Popcorn-like clouds will develop overhead across the area, thanks to an abundance of moisture in the lower levels of the atmosphere.

High Temperatures on Monday (NWS)

Temperatures during the overnight hours on Monday back off into the upper 60s with mostly clear skies.

On Tuesday, an area of high pressure at the surface centered over the southeast will nose its way northward, giving us another hot, muggy and sunny day. Temperatures on Tuesday will be about the same as today, hovering around in the lower 90s.

I know, another hot day on tap! (Tenor Gifs)

Temperatures decrease back into the lower 70s during the overnight hours on Tuesday with partly cloudy skies.

The forecast calls for much of the same conditions heading into Wednesday. Hot and muggy once again with high temperatures, again, hovering in the lower 90s with partly cloudy skies.

Stay cool and stay hydrated folks! (Tenor Gifs)

Showers and thunderstorms are insight, along with slightly cooler temperatures. When I say “slightly” I mean temperatures dropping back into the 80s. Yes, it isn’t much, but it’s a lot better than the temperature being in the 90s. Make sure to check out the blog posts later on this week for further updates regarding the slight cool down.

That wraps up your Memorial Day wxornotBG forecast, thanks for tuning in and I hope you all have a great week! Make sure you look for further updates on our live weather feed @wxornotbg!
