Summer temperatures arrive this afternoon as we will stay hot and sunny until Sunday when storms are possible. Highs will reach the 80’s for the foreseeable future as summer appears to be here to stay.
Patchy Fog to Sweltering Heat
We cooled off so much last night under clear skies that some of the water in our muggy air condensed into fog. Therefore, watch out for some patchy fog reducing the visibility for your morning commute.
Temperature will quickly jolt from this morning’s nippy mid 50’s to the sweaty lower 80’s by this afternoon under sunny skies.
Tomorrow and Saturday will be very similar to today featuring mid 80’s, sunny skies, and quiet weather under a strong ridge of high pressure. This all changes Sunday as we transition from a ridge to a trough…
Storms Possible Sunday
Unsettled weather is on tap for Sunday with storms possible. Current guidance suggests a broken line of storms sweeping across our region on Sunday morning.
Severe weather (damaging wind, large hail, tornadoes) cannot be ruled out associated with Sunday’s storms, but at three days out refinements to the forecast are likely, so stay tuned.
Summer Is Here to Stay
Beyond Sunday, mid 80’s with pop-up thunderstorms are forecast into next week. Time to open the pool and embrace the heat.
