Bowling Green topped out at near 50º Friday afternoon, and that’s just the tip of the melting iceberg. Southwesterly flow continues, we add in some more sunshine and that recipe means the warm up continues this weekend.
Sunshine Returns Saturday
We got a taste of it at the end of the day yesterday, but things should be more on the sunny side today.
In addition to winds out of a generally southerly direction and we’re going to warm up above seasonal averages. Spring’s trying to make an appearance no matter what Punxsutawney Phil has to say about it.
Partly sunny skies will break out across the region, a welcome change from yesterday’s dreary overcast. Temperatures will top out around 58º. Getting close to baseball weather.
Clouds continue to clear out overnight for a nighttime low of around 40º.
Unseasonably Pleasant Sunday
You thought today was going to be nice? Wait until tomorrow. More sunshine and warmer temperatures!
Mostly sunny skies take over for the day tomorrow as we are firmly ensconced in warm weather ahead of our next rainmaker to start next week. Highs will top out near 65º in the afternoon before the Large Professional Football Championship Celebration in Atlanta Between an East Coast Team and a West Coast Team.
Not a bad day to maybe drag the ol’ grill out and cook up some brats or burgers for the party in the evening. Or skip the whole thing and read a good book. It’s up to you. In either case, we’ll fall slowly through the evening to an overnight low near 50º as clouds increase.
Sogginess Back to Start the Week
Monday is looking decidedly soggier than the weekend as a disturbance pivots through the region and looks to spark off a few showers
Temperatures will surge ahead of the showers, with highs topping 67º on Monday afternoon as the rain moves in. Temperatures take a sensible dip to around 45º as showers begin to taper.
Into Next Week
Milder conditions continue next week as the unsettled pattern continues to start the first full week of February. Things look to get especially active around the Wednesday-Thursday timeframe as it looks like we’ll see a front move through the area that will not only provide a shot at maybe a storm or two…but also return us to winter. Don’t worry, we’ll be around average.
