Morning y’all, and happy Saturday! After a very soggy and dreary Friday, we have a fantastic weekend ahead.
Sunny Saturday
Quite a different story than this past week. Finally, a well deserved break from the rainy days has arrived. If you haven’t done so already, today will be perfect for taking down the outdoor Christmas decorations.
Temperatures will top out in the mid 50s, with winds from the west and remaining calm. Skies will remain mostly clear overnight, with temperatures dropping into the mid 30s.
More of the Same on Sunday
Sunday will be the same story.
Calm winds will be out of the south, and will allow temperatures to reach the upper 50s under sunny skies.
Skies will become partly cloudy overnight ahead of our next weather system. Temperatures will be in the mid 40s, again with light winds.
Unfortunately, Rain Chances Return on Monday
All good things must come to an end. Rain showers will be entering our area during the late morning to early afternoon timeframe. The good news is that it does not look like the rain will last very long. The NAM model currently hints at showers exiting our region by the mid afternoon hours, possibly before the kids get out of school.
Temperatures however will be slightly warmer than the weekend. High temperatures will be in the upper 50s, and maybe even hit the 60ºF mark (yes, really!).
Clouds will begin to break up in the evening hours, and into the overnight hours. Low temperatures will once again be in the mid 40s.
That wraps up today’s forecast. Hope you have a great Saturday and rest of the weekend! Make sure to follow @wxornotBG on Facebook and Twitter for weather/forecast updates.
