Classic Autumn Weather is Here

Good Saturday morning, folks! I am back from a brief hiatus on the site, and am happy to be forecasting again. We had a glorious cold front push through earlier this week, and now classic autumn weather is here.

Gloomy Weekend Ahead

Plentiful low level clouds are socking the region in this morning, and that will hide the sunshine for at least a little while as they try to dissipate this morning.

Even if the clouds do break up, don’t anticipate the sun being out for long. Our next weather maker is hot on our heels, and clouds will gradually be increasing from the west throughout today.

Highs this afternoon will only be in the upper 50s (57ºF-58ºF), creating the ideal conditions for any fall activities you might have planned.

Rainfall chances will increase tonight and tomorrow as our next weather maker arrives from the southwest.

Rainfall chances will be the highest in the morning and early afternoon hours. Clouds will be plentiful, and will help keep temps down a bit. However, they are expected to be warmer than today, as southerly winds develop.

Expect highs in the lower 60s (61ºF-62ºF). Overall, a gloomy, fall-like weekend is very welcome around here.

Mundane Monday Ushers in Work Week

Monday looks very similar to Saturday, but with higher rain chances.

Another weather maker will be pressing into the region by Monday morning, bringing with it plentiful cloud cover and rainfall. The cloud cover will keep temperatures down in the upper 50s again.

The rainfall with both systems should be moderate to heavy at times, bringing us a nice total between now and Tuesday of 1-2″ of rain.

Be sure to have your umbrellas and rain coats ready to go! Beyond this, Tuesday looks kinda gloomy again, but Wednesday and Thursday look clear and cool! We may even have our first frost at some point this coming week.

By Friday and Saturday, rain chances look to be on the uptick ahead of another weather system. Ahhh, it truly is nice to be back in Fall.
