Start of Another Hot and Muggy Weekend

You know the drill by now. An upper ridge is still in control and that means the start of another hot and muggy weekend.

We’ve got the aforementioned area of high pressure mostly off to the south and east while our next weathermaker is attempting to take shape in the great lakes region.

For us, this simply means another day of the same old, same old. Hot and humid conditions rivaling a summer’s afternoon. The monotonously mostly sunny skies have a slight chance at being broken up by a stray and passing downpour, but this is by no means likely.

If you do see a shower/storm. Temperatures will be held down…at least temporarily…from another high in the upper-80s to near 90º. Low tonight stay near a muggy 65º as any storms die off and skies stay mostly clear.

Same Ol’ Sunday

The same basic weather pattern will hold in place for the back half of the weekend as well and that means…yes, more heat and more humidity.

Temperatures will continue flirting with 90º for afternoon highs, with dew points into the 70s. It’s going to feel hot, sticky and altogether unsatisfactory.

Can’t rule out another stray storm in the afternoon, but those will likely be few and far between again. Any storm that does pop, while it may dump some quick heavy rain, should stay below severe limits and die off with the setting of the sun. Another mostly clear night sees temperatures only fall to about 65º.

Monday is like is someone put a really bad but really catchy pop song on repeat for 3 days straight, because Monday is going to look exactly like the weekend. From the highs in the upper 80s, mostly sunny skies, slight chance of a passing storm. It would be hard to distinguish Monday from either today or Sunday.

Lows at night once any storms settle down will be around 65-70º. Someone wake me up from this truly toasty nightmare.
