Hey folks, today will be another scorcher with highs in the mid 90’s before our hot week gives way to cooler weekend with the arrival of a much needed cold front. Also look out for some patchy fog this morning.
Record Highs Could Be Threatened Today
With winds from the southwest, highs will reach the mid 90’s across our region with no chance of rain. Bowling Green’s record high for today is 97, and a few places could reach it this afternoon.
Tonight offers little relief with lows in the mid 70’s.
Last Hot Day Before Cold Front Arrives Tomorrow Night
Tomorrow the highs will climb to near 90 for hopefully the last time for several months. Showers and storms are possible ahead of an approaching cold front that will arrive tomorrow night.
There is a low chance of severe storms for tomorrow afternoon into tomorrow night with the main threat being damaging wind. Definitely worth keeping an eye on.
Cooler but Rainier Weekend
Friday night’s cold front looks to stall just to our south leaving us wet, but cooler for the weekend. Highs will be in the upper 70’s with rounds of showers possible throughout both Saturday and Sunday.
Looking a little farther ahead into early next week, more chances of rain with temperatures in the low 80’s look to be on tap with a slight chance of buying apple cider in celebration of the start of fall.
That’s all I have for today. Follow @wxornotbg for the latest updates.
