Howdy folks, I hope you enjoyed feeling cooler this week because today heat and humidity return before possible Florence remnants come late this weekend.
Heat and Humidity Return Through Weekend
Temperatures will climb quickly today and top out in the upper 80’s this afternoon under mostly clear skies. It will feel like the low 90’s.
Tomorrow and Saturday will also reach the upper 80’s and feel even hotter, but they will also feature more afternoon clouds and a low chance for a stray shower or storm.
Nights and mornings will not offer much relief either over the next several days with lows in the low 70’s and patchy fog.
Hurricane Florence Remnants Could Bring Rain Sunday and Monday
While we are having warm, but quiet weather the rest of this week, Hurricane Florence will make landfall and then move very slowly through the Carolinas and/or Georgia dumping rain.
By Sunday, Florence will be much weaker. It is currently forecast to move northwest in the general direction of our region.
This will give us better rain chances for Sunday and Monday while the highs stay in the tropical low 80’s.
That’s all I have for today. Follow @wxornotbg for the latest updates.
