Hey folks, a tropical moisture fueled cold front could soak your plans as a rainy weekend will bring heat relief.
Scattered Storms with Several Breaks Today
Be prepared for a muggy day in the mid 80’s with rounds of showers and storms. I would definitely pack the old umbrella and rain coat if you have outdoor plans.Highest resolution model guidance for 7 am today through 10 pm tonight. h/t pivotalwx
Based on the latest model guidance, it looks like the first round of storms could arrive around midday, then have an afternoon break, before more storms form later in the evening.
A few storms could become strong with gusty winds, heavy rain, and frequent lightning, so pay attention to your @wxornotbg twitter feed to stay informed.
More Rain Tomorrow
With a cold front pushing through our region, tomorrow looks to be pretty dreary with frequent showers. Temperatures will reach 80 in the breaks, but mostly stay in the mid 70’s with very high humidity.
The rain could be heavy at times with some claps of thunder, but no severe is expected. Some minor flooding is also possible, so don’t leave your car parked in a low lying area.
Cooler and Dryer Monday
The last of the cold front’s rain will be moving east of region Monday morning. This will leave us with highs in the mid 70’s, lower humidity, and little chance of rain.
Enjoy Monday because we will be make to warm and humid by the middle of next week. That’s all I have for today; follow @wxornotbg for the latest updates.
