Posted by Landon Hampton on Wednesday, April 18, 2018

A very nice day is expected across the region as a warm front lifts through the region. Gusty southwest winds will lead to highs in the mid 70s.

A few showers may develop along a cold front late during the afternoon hours and into the evening hours. These showers should quickly move to the east of the region as the cold front pushes east. Temperatures will drop into the mid to upper 30s behind the front.

Chilly Thursday

A chillier Thursday is expected thanks to northwest flow. Temperatures will likely only warm into the low to mid 50s under partly cloudy to mostly cloudy skies. The good news is the forecast should remain dry.

As is often the case the night following a cold front passage, temperatures will be coldest Thursday night and into Friday morning. Lows will drop into the low to mid 30s and approach the freezing mark, leading to a widespread frost.

Nicer Friday

Temperatures should moderate some as high pressure moves into the region on Friday. We’ll still see a slight northeast wind, however temperatures should warm into the low 60s under partly cloudy skies. Overall, not a bad end to the work week, and a great start to the Amateur Disc Golf Championships at Bowling Green. Good luck disc golfers!
