After a drearily wet day on Thursday the good news is that Friday looks much drier…but it may not last as we’ll see a short break from rain but showers threaten for Easter.

Friday Break

All of that rain yesterday was triggered by a cold front moving through the region and overnight, it finally moved on to the east, leaving clouds behind.

The cold front! Deep shot to right, it’s gonna beeeeee gone! (WPC)

We may still see a few showers left behind in the morning but drier winds prevail from the northwest and give us a break from the constant showers.

In case you can’t tell, I’m excited for Reds Opening Day now that the weather’s cooperating. (MLBAM)

In addition, clouds will begin to thin out during the day as the system continues its exit. We’ll get to around the 55º mark for a high on the day. The chill continues at night as well as clear skies allow us to cool into the mid-30s for a low.

Saturday? A-OK!

From the look of things right now, Saturday looks alright for the most part, especially early in the day. Mostly sunny skies will make an appearance, a sight for sore eyes!

Alright! (MLBAM)
Alright! (MLBAM)

Our next weather system won’t be far behind, however, as a warm front will creep through the area. This will switch our winds over to the southwest, and they might be breezy as well. But with the southwesterly winds, we’ll warm considerably and we’ll approach the 65º mark as clouds increase.

And then we start looking skyward again. (MLBAM)

As a cold front begins to work it’s way in, we’ll see rain chances go up once again, especially during Saturday evening.

All good things must come to an end, I guess. (WPC)

We’ll drop down into the mid-40s for a low, even with rainfall.

Chilly and Rainy Easter

Bring the Easter egg hunts indoors because we’ll have quite the chance for rain for Easter Sunday.

Booooooo! (MLBAM)
Booooooo! (MLBAM)

We’ll have some moisture wrap around behind the front on Sunday and give us a chance for on and off scattered showers for the holiday.

Rain, rain, go away. (Pivotal Weather)

Since we’ll be behind the front, temperatures will only hover around 50º for the day and as showers taper, we’ll fall back to around the 40º mark at night.

A Peek Ahead

As we move through the new work week, temperatures look like they’ll warm up but showers will remain with us into the first week of April.
