Warm, Windy, but Mostly Dry Today

Howdy folks, yesterday’s drizzly clouds are still hanging around this morning, but expect them to break up this afternoon to let our temperatures reach the upper 60’s behind strong south winds.  With a slow moving cold front approaching, enjoy a warm, windy, dry today; rainy mornings ahead are coming.

Rain chances stay off to our west with the cold front this morning.  In advance of this, winds will blow at 20-25 mph bringing in warmth, so nail down the lawn furniture.  Temperatures start out in the mid-50’s this morning but hit the upper 60’s by this afternoon, which have been hard to come by in this chilly March.

 Rainy Tomorrow Morning

Overnight rain will move in and give us a rainy tomorrow morning.  There is a chance of thunderstorms Wednesday, but they are not forecast to be severe.

Somewhat of a silver lining is that temperatures will stay warm on Wednesday topping out in the mid-60’s in spite of the rain.  Also, there looks to be a break in the heaviest rain on Wednesday evening with some agreement about this between both the GFS and NAM models.

Rainy Thursday Morning

Thursday morning looks to be rainy too and start in the low-50’s.  Temperatures Thursday will peak in the mid-60’s before falling through the rest of the day as the cold front finally moves through.  I am hoping we get that break in the rain on Wednesday evening, otherwise we could be dealing with some localized flooding.

From Wednesday morning to Thursday night we are locked in to get an inch of rain and some areas might get three inches, so find a good book or newspaper to read.  The good news is that both today and Friday look to be dry and in the 60’s.
