Chilly and damp conditions will continue to be the norm as we finish off the weekend with a showery weekend on the way.
Clouds Increase Friday
While we managed to see some breaks in the mostly cloudy skies yesterday as the day went on, we’ll be doing the opposite today.
A weather system is advancing toward us during the day will allow clouds to increase as our next shower chance moves in for tonight.
Highs for the day will only get to around 50º while at night, as those rain chances fill in, we’ll fall to around the 40º mark.
Yeah, There’s a Shower Chance for Saturday
Our wonderful weather system sticks with us for the day on Saturday.
Hope you’re a fan of the 50s because highs will stick around there along with the chance of getting caught under a scattered shower throughout the day.
The core of this system is going to pass to our south, especially late Saturday night and into Sunday morning when the chance for rain will be at it’s highest. Lows will only fall to around 40º once again.
Showers Tapering to…Snow?
Showers and a high of 50º, where have I seen this before?
Scattered showers will continue throughout the day before slowly tapering off later at night as colder air works in…and that could mean some snow.
Now, before you begin to tap into south-central Kentucky’s strategic milk and bread reserves…yes, it’s possible we could see a few flakes to wrap up the precipitation as colder air arrives into the picture late Sunday night. Lows will be around 30º but ground temperatures will be well above freezing, so we’re not too concerned about any kind of road problems. Other than that, just remember to bundle up.
That just about does it for me! Follow our live weather feed @wxornotbg for the latest. Have a terrific Friday!
I couldn’t refrain from commenting. Very wel written!
