Butler and Edmonson County will be under the Advisory starting at 9AM Monday, lasting until 9PM. Allen, Barren, Logan, Simpson and Warren County will be under the advisory between the hours of 12PM Monday and 9AM Tuesday.

The latest guidance has continued to come into agreement on a round of fine, moderate snow Monday afternoon into Monday evening.

The NAM 3km provides an idea of how this will unfold. The heaviest snow is anticipated between the mid afternoon and early evening hours:

Temperatures will only achieve the mid to upper 30s around the lunchtime hour, before plummeting with the passing Arctic front.

Impacts & Accumulations

We CANNOT simply focus on amounts. With the snow falling, temperatures will quickly tumble.

This will ultimately result in travel conditions deteriorating once again, along with additional accumulation amounts between a healthy dusting up to 2″.

The latest thoughts on accumulation from the National Weather Service is provided below:

Temperatures will fall to brutally cold readings following the passing of the front, so the snow that falls won’t be going anywhere.

By sunrise Tuesday, temperatures will be in the single-digits, with afternoon highs only reaching the mid teens. Even colder air will follow Tuesday night. Don’t become a victim of slick roadways:
