Another Warm Day On Tap

A decaying area of low pressure to the west of the region will produce light southerly winds at the surface. Combine this with mostly sunny skies and highs will likely top out around 66°!

Clouds will begin to move in overnight. This will lead to mild temperatures as lows are expected to be around 45°.

Light Rain Thursday

A light rain is possible on Thursday as a cold front moves through the region. Showers may begin by 6 AM Thursday and last through about 8 PM Thursday evening. Forecast rain totals are around 0.1″. Highs will also be around 61°.

Cold temperatures will move in Thursday night behind the front as clouds decrease in coverage. Lows will drop to around 34°.

Cooler on Friday

A cooler day is forecast Friday thanks to the passage of the Thursday front. Instead of the mid 60s we’ve become accustomed to, temperatures will likely top out in the mid 50s. Our normal high temperature for this time of year is 54°, so we’ll be around average!

High pressure to the north of the region will usher in cooler temperatures Friday night. Lows should drop to around 32°.

Looking Ahead

A cold front will likely push through the region on December 5th. This may pose a thunderstorm risk with it. After that, cold air will usher into the region, potentially signaling a pattern change to cold in mid to late December. The Climate Prediction Center is forecasting a significant chance of below average temperatures December 6th-12th.
