It is Still Raining, but Clearing is Expected Soon

The Headline

Well, the major headline is that Harvey is still providing rainfall to us. Though we had nothing close to what Houston saw, the longevity of the rainfall has given good perspective to that event for me.

It is crazy. We have had rain either in town or near town since Thursday night. Yesterday, we picked up our monthly rainfall in one day. It was wild.

Looking ahead over the next few days, they look pretty boring in comparison to yesterday, which is fine by me!

Clouds look to stick around for much of this morning and into early afternoon, but rain showers should be on their way out by midday, allowing for afternoon tailgating to be okay.

Clouds should be clearing out around game time, with temps around 67°F for you’re first WKU football kickoff of the season!

Tomorrow and Monday look to be pretty dang nice as well, but they’ll both be warmer than today. Expect partly cloudy skies tomorrow as a disturbance passes our region to the north. Highs should be in the lower 80s with low humidity.

Monday is the only day in the near future that I see as being potentially ‘hot’. Southwesterly flow will couple with partly cloudy skies to shoot temps into the mid and upper 80s ahead of our next major cool down.
