The Headline

We’ve suffered enough. While there have been some nice moments in the past week, much of it was filled with sky high temperatures combining with ludicrously high humidity values to provide us with truly disgusting weather. However, we still have good news: it’s finally letting up. This

The Details

So the cold front that brought us the taste of wet weather for the day yesterday will be moving through during the early part of the day today, giving us one last shot of rain as it begins to push the hot and humid weather out of here for the weekend.

Storms stick with us early. (Pivotal Weather)

We can’t rule out some showers after the front passes as well, thanks to some moisture still lagging behind, but anything post frontal would be light.

Today:  Cloudy to start with a chance for thunderstorms, better chances early in the day. Skies begin to clear later, reaching a high of  right around 85°. Skies continue to clear overnight as we scour out the humidity, bottoming out around 65°.

  • Wake up: 🌩 75°
  • Lunch hour: 🌩 82°
  • Afternoon plans: 🌩/🌤 84°
  • Evening time: 🌩/🌤 79°

Tomorrow’s where the real fun begins.

Weather update, Joel? (Giphy/Best Brains)

The front clears us by Saturday morning, and that begins to usher in high pressure from the northwest to start our weekend. Which not only means clear skies, but much cooler temperatures and northwest winds that make humidity a thing of the past.

There’s our good friend the Big Blue H making a much anticipated appearance this weekend. (Pivotal Weather)

Under the high’s influence, we’ll remain in the lower 80s for highs, with dew points dropping into the lower 60s or perhaps into the upper 50s. Simply magnificent weather.

Tomorrow  is going to be one of those days you get very few of during the summer, so you’ll want to get out and enjoy it.

Tomorrow:  Absolutely gorgeous weather. Sunny skies and lower humidity, high around 80°. Clear skies continue to prevail at night and we fall to around 60° for a low.

  • Wake up: 🌤 65°
  • Lunch hour: 🌤 78°
  • Afternoon plans: 🌤 79°
  • Evening time: 🌤 73°

We’ll do it all again on Sunday.

There’s really nothing more to say at this point, high pressure is still in control, winds still out of the northwest and temperatures nice with humidity levels low. It’s absolutely perfect.

Sunday:  Another beautiful day, just like Saturday. We’ll push around 82° for a high. More clear skies and a low around 60° at night.

  • Wake up: 🌤 60°
  • Lunch hour: 🌤 80°
  • Afternoon plans: 🌤 81°
  • Evening time: 🌤 70°
Mother Nature earning the applause this weekend.

Today’s Key Points

  • Front moves through today, sparking off showers and storms.
  • Rain chances diminish overnight tonight as front slides past.
  • High pressure builds in for Saturday, lowering the humidity and increasing the sunshine.
  • Sunday looks exactly the same.

That just about does it for me! Thanks for checking into wxornotBG this morning, and be sure to follow @wxornotBG and @WKUweather on Twitter and like Landon Hampton on Facebook for the latest weather information throughout the day.
