Tornadoes Hit Western Kentucky

Tornadoes hit portions of far western Kentucky yesterday. The most picturesque tornado touched down in Mayfield, Kentucky. Fortunately no fatalities occurred in the tornado, despite 10 being injured.

This tornado struck way too close to home for me. My grandparents and numerous friends live in nearby Benton, KY, where the tornado may have dissipated. It’s hard for me to put into words the emotions I felt yesterday. As I sat and watched radar, helplessly 2 hours away, I was trying to prepare myself for devastating news that people I hold dear to me lost their lives. This will be a day I never forget.
