We’re waking up to some scattered showers across the region. A trough is moving into the region, lifting the showers this morning. This trough will continue to spread upper level divergence across the region, continuing off and on rain chances throughout the day. Southwest flow will help warm things up to around 79° this afternoon.

A few scattered showers and thunderstorms may move into the region tonight. A few storms may be strong, with gusty winds. Lows will be around 63°.

Tuesday 5/10 – Partly Cloudy; Strong Storms Possible – High 81° / Tues Night – Scattered Storms – Low 66°

On Tuesday, the trough will continue to move into the region. Showers and thunderstorms may be ongoing during the morning hours. However, this round of showers and storms should depart the region by noon. Weak instability may develop in the wake of this rainfall, however this is highly dependent on the amount of warming and sunlight received during the afternoon hours. Highs will be in the low 80s.

If enough instability is accumulated during the afternoon, additional strong to severe thunderstorms may form. The Storm Prediction Center has outlined our area in a “Slight” risk of severe weather. Strong wind and large hail will be the main concerns, although an isolated tornado is not out of the question.

These storms may form into a complex and continue in the overnight hours. Lows will be in the mid 60s.

Wednesday 5/11 – AM Showers; Partly Cloudy PM – High 83° / Wed Night – Mostly Clear – Low 64°

Some lingering showers will remain in the area on Wednesday morning. However, conditions should clear out nicely in the afternoon, leaving us with partly cloudy skies. Highs will shoot on into the low to mid 80s in the afternoon sunshine.

Wednesday night will bring mostly clear conditions with a low in the mid 60s.
