The Weather Is On The Up and Up

Today: Mostly sunny, with a high of 60°F. Tonight: Mostly clear, with lows falling to around 33°F.

Welcome to April! Where temperatures aren’t warm, and temperatures look to be 8-10 degrees below normal for this time of year! Fun times!

Seriously, though, it has been relatively cool and windy so far this month, but the next few days will be so nice that you might erase those memories from your head.

Today we’ll be under the influence of a trough that is propagating quickly to the east and northeast. On the western side of this trough is a surface high pressure system, and cooler and drier conditions.

Temperatures won’t be too cool, but they will still below normal. I have temps reaching the upper 50s areawide, with 60 not out of the question.

Overnight, conditions will remain basically the same, with clear skies and lows falling into the lower 30s.

Tomorrow: Sunny. Highs around 66°F. Wed. night: Partly to mostly cloudy, with lows falling to around 46°F.

Ahh, another sunny day!

We’ll be under the influence of that same high pressure system that will effect us today, and that will create a drier and cooler atmosphere. Skies should be mostly sunny across the region, and temps will be warmer. It helps having a high sun angle, and sunny skies. That’ll lead us into the mid and possibly upper 60s across the region.

Overall, an incredibly boring forecast. This is about as bland as it gets for April around here. Overnight, a mid and upper level trough looks to propagate eastward towards our region, and will likely increase our cloud coverage. This will keep temps elevated into the mid 40s.

Thursday: Partly cloudy, with highs around 68ºF. Thur. night: Partly cloudy. Lows around 52°F.

Another nice day! After Monday was so bland and not nice at times, it is really nice to have a string of days that look:

  1. Windy
  2. Cool
  3. Rainy

So, the set up for the day is odd. We will be seeing the looks of a weak mid and upper level shortwave propagate eastward across the region, underneath an area of ridging across the northern US. This will give us at least partly cloudy skies. Because of how dry the atmosphere was beforehand, I don’t see much occurring. Temps will likely end up in the upper 60s.

Overnight, look for partly cloudy skies to remain as lows fall into the lower 50s.

Well, that is all I have for ya! Have a good one, folks. Be sure to check out @WxOrNotBG for the latest.
