Rain, It Is A Comin'

Howdy, Bowling Green! It’s the weekend, and I’ve got some good news for you! You can put your parkas back in the closet because temperatures are going to rise into a more “normal” range for this time of year!

Temperatures will rise due to winds shifting to the south ahead of the approaching warm front. Winds will pick up today with gusts up to 30-35 mph possible. Cloud cover will stick around for most of the day with a slight chance for rain during the morning and early afternoon. Rain chances will increase into the evening hours. You might even hear a rumble of thunder during the overnight hours into Monday morning.

Highs today will be in the upper 60’s, and lows will be in the mid 50’s.

Monday – Showers – High 70˚ / Monday Night – Showers – Low 43˚

This low pressure system that’s in the process of moving through the region is taking quite a long time to do so. Because of this, we will still be under the influence of the warm front, making temperatures rise into the upper 60’s, maybe even hitting the 70 degree mark.

With the southerly winds associated with this warm front bringing in moist air, we will see some periods of heavy rain Monday. Monday afternoon and night look to be especially wet, so make sure to bring that umbrella with you to work.

As the cold front makes its way out of the area, we will see rain during the evening hours Monday night and into the overnight hours. Rain looks to subside early Tuesday morning.

Tuesday – Slight Chance Showers – High 55˚ / Tuesday Night – Mostly Clear – Low 35˚

Once the rain clears out early Tuesday morning, it looks to be mostly sunny skies across the region. Highs for Tuesday will be in the mid 50’s under mostly sunny skies.
